Saving Our Suburbs (June 7th, 2009)
I think this is my personal best video for this year. I made it for the 48 Hour Film Festival with my friends and we won a few awards! I also really enjoy the way it turned out.
TumbleCal (September 25th, 2009)
This is my personal best graphic design piece. I’m not at all a great graphics designer, and I worked hard on this to submit to tumbleCal. Really happy about the way it looks.
Swine Flu (May 2nd, 2009)
This is my personal best comedy movie. Had a great time meeting with some friends and filming the weekend after everyone was panicking about the swine flu.

The Joy of Shaving (February 10, 2007)
My big break, front page of youtube on tuesday, from page of myspace on friday. Calls from MTV the following week. All for being some dude that shaved with a banana. crazy.
Platform International Animation Festival Acceptance Speech ( July 02, 2007)
I was speechless, I had no idea, didn’t think we would win. Defeated jibjab and 30 second bunny theater. Totally floored.
eatsleepdraw ( December 7th, 2007)
What started as a joint tumblelog between Ben and I, turned into having a online art gallery. Super fun, and really special to me.
Damn, 2007 was a great year.
CREATIVE TYPES ON TUMBLR.com Listen up!
I’ve noticed a lot of people make a lot of stuff. A lot. And while I don’t think it’s necessarily healthy to dwell on your past work…I do think once in a while it’s nice to take a step back and take stock of what you’ve done and where you want to go artistically.
Introducing: THIS IS MY PERSONAL BEST.com
A place where once a year, you can reflect back on your life’s work and share with us what you think your top 3 personal best works are. It could be a film, piece of music, art, photo, writing, you name it. This is not the best work you did this year. This is the best work you’ve ever created. In other words, this could be a drawing you made when you were 8 years old.
It’d be neat to do this every year and see if your personal best changes or if your feelings change about certain pieces over time. I sometimes find that something I absolutely hated 4 years ago is now something I consider a personal best.
So, lets do it:
GO TO THIS TUMBLR SITE: ThisIsMyPersonalBest.com
Follow it and submit your personal best!
NOTE: YOU CAN ONLY SUBMIT ONCE A YEAR.
You should really take some serious thought into what you think are your personal best. Take a few days to mull it over. You only have once a year to post.
Submissions should follow this format below:
******
Name
Your Current Age
Website Url Here (optional)
Today’s Date (this is important, because you can’t post another personal best until another year has passed)
# 1 - LINK TO SOMETHING HERE (The date you created it or close approximation)
A couple sentences as to why you think this is your personal best. This is important. And I think just as fascinating as the work itself. Other ideas to consider: What were you going through? How did the work come about? How did your opinion on the work change throughout time? etc.
# 2… same deal
# 3… same deal
Have fun! An unexamined life is not worth living, isn’t that what someone said? Or something?
Sincerely,
Bobby
